How much does a session cost?
Each therapy session is $105. I work with couples to accomplish goals in the most cost effective and timely way possible.
How can I pay for my sessions?
Payments can be made with cash, check, or debit/credit card. Payments should be made as services are received.
What are your appointment hours?
Sessions may be scheduled for Monday and Thursday evenings 5pm – 9pm, Friday from 8am – 5pm, and some weekend appointments are possible.
Do you take insurance?
I am an out of network provider for all insurance companies. I encourage you to call your insurance company and determine your benefits. We will provide bill summaries for easy reimbursement filing.
Are you a licensed counselor?
Yes. I am a licensed clinical social worker. This means I have completed a masters degree, and two years of supervised training, and passed a state licensing exam. Beyond this I have more than ten years of clinical experience and my license requires me to maintain 40 credit hours of continuing education every two years. I am also certified as a clinical supervisor.
Do I need to complete any forms before my first session?
No. I only need an intake questionnaire (one short page) prior to the appointment, and you can easily complete this in the lobby when you arrive.
How should we begin marriage counseling?
Talk to your spouse and plan to come to your first session together. This helps develop a good relationship and a therapeutic alliance with the husband and wife equally. We will get to know each other, and I will guide you both through a discussion that will ultimately lead you toward common goals.
